Just yesterday you brought your newborn baby home and tomorrow you will kiss her cheek, hug her deeply and wave goodbye to her as she drives away to start college two thousand miles away. You will cry on your husband’s shoulder and hug her little brother a bit tighter. You will go up to her room, that suddenly feels so empty, sit on her bed with a stack of your family albums and immerse yourself in time capsules of memories we have together created. You will feel the soft cover of the very first album we had created and gaze into the eyes of your then just seven days old bundle of baby cuteness. You will sigh over images of your girl in a pink arm cast, captured on a hot August day, just before she started school. You will tear up again opening the latest album, that we have created just two weeks before. It was your daughter’s idea to dress everyone up for a night in the city and your images are truly beautiful, your family looks stunning, the light is perfect. What you see, though, is the love between her and her little brother; you feel how proud her daddy is; you hear what she whispered in your ear at the end of the session: “I love you, Mama!”.
